David Simmental | Englewood Real Estate Lawyer

David earned his Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from the University of Texas at Austin in 1976, with a major in History.  He earned Juris Doctorate Degree (J.D.) from the University of Houston in 1981. He was admitted to practice in Texas that same year.  Mr. Simmental soon joined the legal department of Cooper Industries, a Fortune 100 company headquartered in Houston, Texas, as staff attorney/real estate manager. Mr. Simmental was then appointed as an Assistant City Attorney for the City El Paso, Texas; providing advice to the Housing Rehabilitation Board and the Industrial Development Board.  In 1983,  Mr. Simmental believed that he could be more effective in helping people deal with probate and real estate issues in his own practice. He practiced as a sole practitioner in El Paso, Texas for eighteen (18) years.  In 2000, Mr. Simmental moved to Denver, Colorado, and founded Simmental Law, LLC.  The following year, he was invited to become an associate of the law firm of Riggs, Abney, Neal, Turpen, Orbison & Lewis,  in their Denver office. He successfully practiced with that firm for seven years then renewed his individual law firm again.  Mr. Simmental has represented numerous clients in State and Federal Courts in probate and real estate litigation.  He has prepared complex business and real estate documents and ventures.  David has assisted helped hundreds of people in creating their Last Will and Testaments, Powers of Attorney, and Living Wills.  Simmental Law, LLC has allowed David to fully realize his passion for helping people in dealing with probate and real estate matters.

Mr. Simmental is active in a number of professional organizations including the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association,  Arapahoe County Bar Association.  David is a member of the Probate and Estates Section and the Real Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association.  He has been a presenter a real estate seminars and active in providing pro bono services and involved in various community service projects.   Mr. Simmental is licensed to practice in Texas, Colorado, and the District of Columbia.  He has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and the Federal District, and the United States Court of International Trade.
