Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak has issued an announcement and Executive Order halting all residential and commercial evictions in Nevada for as long as the COVID-19 virus emergency is in effect.   Thsi Order applies to all new evictions as well as lockouts of evictions ordered prior to the Executive Order.   However evictions for dangerous activities are allowed to continue.  This is not free rent; tenants will still be required to make up the rent for the deferred periods,

Likewise property owners are required to continue to maintain properties even though rent is deferred.   The Nevada State Treasurer is encouraging homeowners and landlords to work with their banks regarding a 90-day deferral of mortgage payments, which many banks have already agreed to do.
